Given today's complex environments, one of the leadership styles that can adapt well to today's changing environment is the sun worshipper leadership style. Accordingly, the present study was conducted with the aim of identifying the causes of the tendency and consequences of using the sun worshipper leadership style in knowledge-based organizations. The present study is an exploratory research in terms of its purpose in terms of collecting information. Also, this research is a mixed qualitative and quantitative research based on the inductive deductive philosophy. The statistical population of the study is experts who were selected using purposive sampling and based on the principle of theoretical adequacy. The data collection tool in the qualitative part is a semi-structured interview, whose validity and reliability were confirmed using content validity and theoretical validity and the method of intra-coder and inter-coder reliability measurement. Also, the data collection tool in the quantitative part is a questionnaire, whose validity and reliability were confirmed using content validity and test-retest reliability. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis and quantitative data using fuzzy cognitive mapping. The results of the study indicate that ambiguous and unpredictable environmental conditions were identified as the most important causes of the tendency and expansion of the organization's competitiveness capacity, as well as the most important consequences of the sun-worshipper leadership style.
