The present study aimed to investigate the effect of knowledge-based human resource management (HRM) on teachers’ quality of work life with the mediating role of psychological well-being. This descriptive-correlational study was conducted among 906 primary school teachers in District 1 of Kermanshah during the 2024–2025 academic year. A total of 280 participants were selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected using three standardized questionnaires: the Quality of Work Life Questionnaire by Ilgan et al. (2014), the Knowledge-Based HRM Questionnaire by Kiananto et al. (2017), and the Psychological Well-Being Questionnaire by Ryff et al. (1989). Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation and path analysis in LISREL software. The results showed that knowledge-based HRM had a significant and positive effect on quality of work life (β=0.32, t=2.44) and psychological well-being (β=0.76, t=10.43). Additionally, psychological well-being positively affected quality of work life (β=0.65, t=4.20). Knowledge-based HRM also had an indirect, positive, and significant effect on quality of work life through psychological well-being (β=0.49, t=3.89). The findings emphasize the importance of knowledge-based HR strategies in enhancing teachers’ psychological well-being and improving their quality of work life.
